Rooted in East Tennessee. Inspired by something new. Berry Social was created by husband-and-wife team Heather and Chad Jenkins, two East Tennesseans with a love for their community, a passion for bringing people together, and a shared excitement for being part of Knoxville’s incredible growth.
Heather is a Knoxville native and University of Tennessee alum, while Chad grew up in Athens, Tennessee and attended Maryville College. East Tennessee has always been home, and as they watched Knoxville continue to grow and evolve, they knew they wanted to create something that could become part of its next chapter.
The idea for Berry Social grew from a simple vision: to create a place that feels as good as the food tastes.
More than just an açaí bowl shop, Berry Social was imagined as a bright, welcoming place where friends meet up, families stop in after a game, students grab something between classes, and the community can enjoy something delicious, refreshing, and a little different.
At the heart of Berry Social is its signature soft-serve açaí—a smooth and refreshing take on the traditional açaí bowl, paired with fresh fruit and customizable toppings. But for Heather and Chad, the experience has always been just as important as what’s in the bowl. From the colorful design to the locally inspired menu and the location in Knoxville’s growing Old City and stadium district, every detail has been thoughtfully created with their hometown in mind.
Berry Social is their way of bringing together a few of their favorite things: good food, good energy, community, and connection.
We’re proud to call Knoxville home, and we can’t wait to welcome you to Berry Social.
Come for the açaí. Stay for the social.
